The New Yorker serves up a six-page article (slotted for the May 19 issue) by Sue Halpern which details how THQ's hit strategy game Full Spectrum Warrior was modified to help Iraq War veterans deal with post-traumatic stress syndrome.
Xbox Wire: "The November Games with Gold lineup is here! On the Xbox One, and the soon to be released Xbox Series X|S, dispatch your adversaries from the shadows in Aragami: Shadow Edition, and test your shooter skills in the aquatic world of Swimsanity! And for our classic lineup via Backward Compatibility, be all you can be in the original Xbox title, Full Spectrum Warrior and crack your whip and prepare for adventure in the Xbox 360 game, Lego Indiana Jones."
This is especially bad when you take into account what sony is offering on ps4 and ps5
“Destroy All Humans!, Full Spectrum Warrior, Mercenaries, MX Unleashed, Panzer Elite Action, Battlefront, Battlefront II, Jedi Academy, Jedi Starfighter, Knights of the Old Republic II & Republic Commando are coming to Xbox One Back Compat today”
Man...the library I'm building for my X is getting in the legendary territory. Elder Scrolls 3, 4 and 5. Kotor 1&2, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jade Empire, Geo Wars trilogy, All the Halo games, all the Gears games, a huge chunk of the Star Wars games, Red Dead and tons more all on one box...it almost seems like I'm cheating at times haha.
Jedi Academy on consoles? I knew JK2 released on Xbox but didn't realise Academy did too, hands down the best Jedi/Sith action game ever made with an amazing community.
Does online play work for Battlefront 1 and 2? I prefer SP obviously but people have raved about online for both those games back in the day.
‘Back from the dead’ has returned! After a couple of months off it's back and this time we're looking at shooter franchises that should be brought back.
Timesplitters is pretty much dead, with Crytek Uk(Free Radical) closing; I would really like a closure to the story of XIII. Also why use Halo assault rifle concept art for the thumbnail?
Instead of bringing back more shooter, I wouldn't mind seeing a little more throwbacks to WW1 and WW2. Even some Vietnam would be cool.
Prey 2 needs to be resurrected. Give it to Machinegames. They did miracles with the Wolfenstein license in their hands.
