IGN: Lost Planet: Colonies Hands-On

For a game that had its debut almost a year and a half ago, Capcom is getting some impressive mileage out of its so-called "Western Shooter." Lost Planet: Colonies takes all the fancy-schamncy DirectX 10 treats in the original PC release, lumps in all the downloadable content and core game bits that were added later, and then heaps on a ton of extra content, all for one Alexander Hamilton (that's $10 for those that don't play presidential flash cards) less than the original price.

For that $30, you'll get something between a Director's Cut re-release and an expansion, meaning yes, there are more player models (11 in all, five of which are newly playable), more levels (four of 'em) and more weapons (again, four of 'em for humans, four more for the robotic Vital Suits), but the meat of what Colonies offers beyond that fancy new title is in the online play.
