GameTap: Sam & Max: What's New, Beelzebub? Review

What's New, Beelzebub? is funny and fun enough to stand alone and deliver newcomers with a great point-and-click experience. Sure, the story material is better for those who have followed the series and are familiar with the characters. But for anyone who has played a point-and-click adventure or who can see the comedic value of dropping a witty dog detective and his smart-ass rabbitty sidekick into hell, this game is genius.

Pros: Non-stop humor; well-balanced mixture of puzzles and adventure; smart storytelling and well-crafted character development.

Cons: Load times were long; Sam & Max were unable to beat up Jergen, the vampire; some story threads might be too obscure for newcomers to follow.
