Dragon Quest IX Reviewed, Wins No Awards (RPGFan.com)

RPGFan.com: "You can't get much more "traditional" with your Traditional RPGs than the Dragon Quest series.

And if you're into that, cool. I suspect, when an English version of Dragon Quest IX reaches us, many people will be into it.

But our import reviewer, James Clark? It wasn't enough for him to hand out our prestigious "editor's choice" award."

Well I think I'll wait and see for myself, RPGfan only gave TWEWY 86 and that's game one of the best designed on the DS.

I doubt DQIX will be rated as highly as DQVIII in general though even if it's immensely better because it's on the DS.

4 - This guy is usually harsh on reviews..
but DQIX is easy?? I am shocked by that one seeing as most D games are kinda tough. I imagine Squenix wanted it to be like that since it IS a portible DS game. Good review, but he needs to seriously go back and finish DQVIII, if he "likes a challenge".

Not that this is a bad score, cuz it's not, but I still think Square is overdue for some kind of Renaissance. It's working for EA.
