I like these remakes. I never played a Dragon Quest game until the DQ8 so I can now go back and play the older titles. Chrono Trigger is another good example as the original title never made it to Europe.

Yer it is, especially EU. We didn't get any of 'em until VIII(but I'd played some imports:D).

These rereleases are awesome and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't do them. There's demand for them and Artepiazza pretty much does all the work.

Pretty much and US only had 1-IV and IV was nearly impossible to find... I think they sent out 4 copies of it lol

But yeah the market is there and Artepiazza is doing a heck of a job on them.

I wonder if they'll remake VII? It was just another hidden title in the long line of DQ. Heck if they want to be all nice or whatever you call it they could put it on the PSP seeing that it was a PS1 title....

Either that or they'll go back and rework I-III ;) ah never mind they need to do the DS 3D remakes of FFV and VI! lol

Hmm, yes plenty of others they could remake. I think DQVII if they decided to do it would be on the DS anyway. They definitely seem to have chosen Nintendo for DQ and it's more closely been associated with Nintendo than Sony(in Japan anyway).

I don't know if we'll see DS remakes of FFV and FFVI. They may be a while away and may even end up being beefed up DSi games. I actually prefer that we're getting FF Gaiden than another remake though. It's some new and original for the DS and it also revolves around hats(which is awesome!).

Don't forget Cross Treasure, which I think has the potential to become a pretty big franchise!

EDIT: Saga 2's a remake though.;)
