It lets you know that you have conquered ALL that the game has to offer, you are the warrior who has slayed the challenges thrown upon you. By doing this my friend, you are well deserving of a cookie.
(But IMO, I prefer achievements) <- Just my opinion

it has to be acheivements all day long for the simple fact that its the original and every game supports them, it is a good feeling though when a platinum trophy blings at you tho!
