They deserve to have a place as they never got anywhere near their peak in terms of graphics, sound and story telling. Some of my most memorable games have been adventures over the years.

I agree! Adventure Titles still reign supreme in my book! So many good memories and more to the point, so many possibilities on the horizon :)
