Is Dragon Quest IX Co-Op WiFi or Local?

"There's been some confusion about Dragon Quest IX co-op play. Is it local only or does it using Nintendo's WiFi connection? Just imagine playing DQIX with faraway friends!

Square Enix PR clears up the issue with this: "From the beginning of development, co-op play hasn't been via WiFi, but rather DS wireless play."

So there you go, bye-bye confusion and bye-bye DQIX WiFi dreams."

i'm glad they stayed at dragon quest and didn't try to make it like phantasy star 0 or monster hunter .

Wireless play is fine .it not like DQ is not huge already as a game

They did try to make it real time though but the fans protested and Square Enix actually listened and they all went back and changed it to a more classic style. Although I think it looks a lot more flashy than older DQs.

I think that they listened is awesome because it proves SE does actually care about it's fans, or Dragon Quest fans at least. hehe.

do not underestimate the power dragon quest holds in japan ... has this game failed to impress the Draque fanbase it would had been something HUGEEE

Oh I know the power DQ has but it shows where SE's priorites are when they'll completely backtrack on a Dragon Quest game but are willing to offend a massive chunk of the FF fanbase(Although they shouldn't be too bothered in my opinion).
