Mario & Sonic team up for Wii and DS!

SEGA and Nintendo today made a historical announcement that two of the biggest icons in the entertainment industry, Mario and Sonic, are joining forces to star in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. Developed for the Wii and the Nintendo DS system, this momentous agreement marks the first time these two renowned stars have appeared together in a game.

I was wondering how they'd follow up Wii Sports. Sure, Sonic will easily win the speed events, but Mario has the upper hand in the jumping and plumbing events.

Olympic based games were always better multi-player games than solo games. I have a feeling this one will be VERY well developed though. Just hope it isn't an early April fools joke. I hope they don't weaken Mario or Sonic so that they're more even on all the different events.

This direction makes Nintendo and Sega such a bunch of sellouts.

Sure, Sonic and Mazza meeting in a game. Sounds great. But why cheapen this great coming together by making it some stupid event based trashfest.

I would have prefered Sonic to be in Smash Brothers. Though I reckon he still is.

Seems the Sonic team are happy that the Wii version of Sonic got a nice reception and want to ride the wave. I'm sure this'll be a pretty good game. Great I don't know but we'll see
