GameStop Offers Fake Money for GTA: Chinatown Pre-Orders

GameStop's latest exclusive pre-ordering bait will give gamers virtual cash and guns in Take-Two's upcoming Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for DS.

By pre-ordering the game at the retailer, consumers will get $10,000 in "cold hard Liberty City cash" and immediate access to the game's entire arsenal from the start of play.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars launches on March 17 in the U.S.

GameStop's exclusive pre-order bonuses are an increasingly common means of drawing consumers into stores, although bonus items are typically those of the physical variety, such as soundtrack CDs and game-related trinkets.

Money was useless in GTAIV, I don't expect it to be any more useful for a GTA DS game.

It probably will.
In IV, they had too much focus on getting the engine and physics ready, whilst keeping a clean gameplay.
They had completely forgotten about money, and all it's premises.

They don't have to do that in Chinatown Wars, and judging from the news picture, it looks like you can spend it on more misc. things, instead of only weapons.

Getting all the guns and huge amounts of money at the start ruins the fuсking fun. Get a fuсking clue, seriously.
