Be it on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo or PC through 2008 we have seen many great games, but only a few influential ones that will really leave a legacy on the future of gaming. This in-depth gameplayer article details the few developers that delivered something truly worth remembering in 2008.

Insoniac- Most influential developer in the history of video games in my opinion.

Rockstar also influential but never a fan of the gta games. Nintendo meh I wasn't playing video games when they were making good games.

Going through their list, it seems that only a few are worthy of being considered "Influential". The others? Horrendous hype machines. Yes, I know this is a general statement, but being more specific would start many flamewars, and I don't want that.

Also, sorry if I seem a bit jaded.

Best RTS I ever played by far. Even Top Stragety like Red Alert, Warcraft, Civilation make them look bad.

Pity that Console fanboys will never play it. Actually no pity at all they only know how to bash.

Gamer plays evertyhing not consoles.

people should read the article and not just the list. The site goes into detail as to why each made the list, and their explanation make inclusions like Nintendo EAD make plenty of sense.

I struggle to understand what the author means by "Influential" because quite a bit of this devs did not influence gaming world in any significant way, sure they made good games but hardly any of them were revolutionary, save for LittleBigPlanet and maybe MGS4.
