Phoenix Games reviews Spiderman Web of Shadows

A lot of fan input went into making "Spider-Man Web of Shadows." If only the people responsible for the gameplay and pacing were as concerned as the people responsible for keeping geeks like me happy.

A little backstory is necessary in the spirit of full disclosure: "I am a Spider-Man fan. I have a half-sleeve tattoo on my right arm depicting Spidey and his rogue's gallery." The highlight of my journalism career was my 1997 interview with Stan Lee. "I have a life-sized statue of the web head in my office."

So, of course, Phoenix Games wanted to love this game. They compare all Spider-Man games to the one released by Activision for the N64 and PS1. The N64 "Spider-Man" game was the greatest super hero game ever made at the time. They finally got it right with that one. Play it today and you'll still have a good time hearing Stan Lee's narration, doing whatever a spider can and collecting all the game's great comic collectibles.
