Possible Pokémon Gold & Silver Remake for Nintendo DS?

Notinthere's Yoshimaui writes: A possibly fake scan has been circulated all around the internet getting every Pokémon fanatic's attention. It's a scan featuring two box art covers exposing what looks to be a Pokémon Gold & Silver version remake for the Nintendo DS. Though I'm sure many fans were excited to see this scan there has still been no confirmation on a possible remake.

Looks fake but considering the Pokemon series always makes money, they could bring it out again

Nice for them to do so, I wonder if they will take it further back to the Yellow, Red and Blue series? I actually might buy the Red and Yellow if they do so. Only because of nostalgia reasons and the fact I can't find mine anymore. Probably a good thing..?

I think they remade Red and Blue to a certain degree. I remember they came out with Fire Red and Leaf Green for the GBA, which was an updated/touched up version of Red and Blue. Of course this was on the GBA, so I guess it will be interesting to see if they do it again for NDS.

If this article is true and they do plan on remaking Gold and Silver...dang, I may be really interested in getting a NDS...

**Definitely so, lol.

Yeah I remember the fire red and leaf green, It just seems like they are trying to produce every pokemon game on previous hand helds on the DS. So I was wondering if they were going to touch up Red and Blue for the DS as well.

I also would not mind getting a DS again and playing through this (as well as other titles of course)

Gold and Silver was my favorite Pokemon games. I love how your start in Johto and after you finish that, you can go to Kanto. It felt really long.

Hahahaha, I played this thing on my GBC and finished it ages ago. I also had the Red version, and I felt that the silver version was a nice sequel. I think that the series really went downhill when Ruby and Saphire were released... I still have my DS, and so maybe I'll buy the G/S remake if they do in fact make it. Demand for it is still pretty high though

My favorite was also Gold/Silver. 16 badges was alot, I liked it. Only needed to catch 13 more pokemon to complete the pokedex. I remember taking a bus trip to an airport in New York and meeting up with this chinese kid who traded me an Umbreon and a Celebi, both of which I needed.

Seriously, I'd buy again A remade yellow verison (really liked the fact that you could easily get the three basic pokémons, being charmander, squirtle and Bulbasaur. How the F do I remember the names!? must be nostalgia and brain wash). And also the silver version because lugia was at level 40 and you got disc beam when catching it, in gold version, it doesn't have disc beam. After that (starting from GBA), the series are mere milking of the original versions.

I would get a Blue and Red remake for the DS, for the sole fact that I knew what was going on with the series back then. I could name all 150 of the original Pokemon, anything added after Mew and Mewtwo become a big part of the story is over my head.
