DSi blocks DS Flashcards from operating

Nintendo has done what we all expected and blocked the Nintendo DSi from running what seems to be nearly every single flash card on the market. If you have a CycloDS, G6 DS Real, M3 DS Real, Supercard DS One, iTouch DS, FCard, NCard, M3 DS Simply, U2DS, R4 DS and EZ Flash V don't expect any of them to work. It seems the DSi blocks both auto boot cards and ones that boot from the menu. If it's auto boot it crashes and while the others show up in the menu but once selected come up with an error. Bad news for pirates, good news for Nintendo and bad news for legitimate homebrew. But how long till they crack it?

No doubt. Any form of copy-protection is just a genius hacker away from being broken. Companies need to realize that there are more of us then there are of them.

3 - Shocking.
I suggested that the DSi had little to do with introducing its slim set of new features and everything to do with locking out flash cards back when the DSi was first announced.

I am not at all surprised.

I wasnt planning on buying one anyway the ds2 should be out in 2 years anyway and this thing has hardly any new features it can play back music but not mp3 files ???? what the crap where nintendo thinking

First the PSP 3000 and its' anti-homebrew charge. Now Nintendo and its' equivalent crusade. Not that it will last long but it was nice of them to try.
