IGN: Civilization Revolution UK Review

That game world, though, still amounts to the sum of humanity, and in spite of some minor niggles, there's no denying that fitting Civilization on to the DS is an astonishing achievement. Civilization Revolution remains the furiously, maddeningly addictive sandbox of delights that it's always been – which is probably the highest praise you can give it. It's just ironic that its own contribution to actual civilisation is likely to be to diminish it, by taking over every waking minute of your life, preventing you from all those things that you might otherwise be doing to further the advance of humanity. Maybe some current world leaders ought to give it a go.
