Well people asked UBI for the Assassins Creed one and as much as I despise PDZ people really loved the first Perfect Dark so those LE made sense. Star Wars is a big franchise as well as is Halo3. Its not so much about the actual game as it is about the franchise and what fans of that franchise want. I dont get LE but I liked Halo3 well enough and if I was a HUGE fan, like the type of people that buy LE I would have demanded it... same with SW and I suppose PD.
Games that dont deserve LE are ones that it makes no sense for people to buy one since there is no track record for the franchise. Like two worlds, until you play the first one why would you want to spend a lot of money on something that can, like it did, flop.

2 - Too many Special Editions?
I've been noticing that a LOT of games released so far in the 7th gen console generation have had numerous amounts of collectors editions and I think that there have been too many special/limited editions because so many games don't need them, like: Saints Row 2 coming out later on this year and many others.
I think that it's O.k. for a 1st party game titles/exclusive games for a console to have a Limited/Special Editions of a game anytime, but when it comes to just everyday 3rd party multiplatform game titles, it's really not needed.

I don't think any games deserve special editions. I think that the "making of" videos should be available for everyone. Sure, some people collect special figurines, patches, stickers, and bonus DVD material, however making games is an art, and I think that they shouldn't charge extra to see behind-the-scenes footage.

GTAIV has the stupidest special edition, but we all know that no one on the net would ever say anything bad about that game, for fear of popularity loss.
Stupid double standard.
