Digital Life: Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings Review

While initially undemanding, the game eventually becomes more challenging. There's a big cast of creatures to summon into battle via special gates that are crucial to capture and defend, while weapon crafting adds further tactical complexity.

The control interface is accessible, yet selecting individual units among a herd on the small screen is overly fiddly, encouraging players to mindlessly dispatch all units to steamroll foes. And sometimes your forces don't always get to your desired destination.

While the adventure is long, including optional side-quests to undertake during the 10 chapters, some players might be disappointed that a strategy game has no multiplayer element for battling friends.
