Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys! video drops

What's the point in coming up with some meaningless name for an invading race of alien beings? If a load of blobs resembling angry brains came floating down from outer space and started using ray-guns and mind-control on everyone on your street, the last thing you'd be thinking about is naming them. 'Thingys' works fine when your main concern is sending them back from where they came.
