Carmack happy for Nintendo, interested in doing Wii game

One big name GamerSquad didn't expect to see praising Nintendo was id Software co-founder John Carmack. Carmack has been critical of the Kyoto giant on more than one occasion in the past, but not for much longer it would seem.

After announcing a Nintendo DS version of his mobile phone game Orcs & Elves back at E3 in July, Carmack yesterday told a packed QuakeCon audience how he was "really happy" for Nintendo, and suggested that he'd quite like to see Orcs & Elves on the Wii, which he described as "a spark of newness."
