Geek.com Review: Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff for Nintendo DS

Of all the sports video games I've played in my life, there isn't one that I remember more fondly then Tecmo Bowl. I played the game endlessly back in my NES days and frequently came back to it over the years. Despite being simplistic, even for the time, the game just works. It has aged well and even though it is football at the absolute barebones level and it might see counter-intuitive but the limitations of Tecmo Bowl are part what makes it fun. You don't have to worry about all the complexities of the game, it's just pass, run, or kick and defense is limited to basically tackling the guy with the ball. Madden 09 it's not, but it still manages to be enjoyable.
