Jolt: Review: Doodle Hex

Jolt: "If Doodle Hex was the only DS game you ever bought, you'd probably think it was great. You'd struggle past a steep learning curve and memorise the game's many, many combat techniques and how to defend against them, and perhaps your friends would too, leading to some epic multiplayer battles based on the novel concept of rune drawing.

But this is the real world, and there are lots of other games to demand your attention. The truth of the matter is that if you're anything like most people, you'll struggle and rage against some skewed AI challenges, failing to appreciate an original and enjoyable gameplay concept because of the way it pitches its difficulty. You'll probably give up long before mastering the mechanics, possibly disappointing your one friend for whom this is the only recent game they have."
