From my experience with the genre on DS, Call of Duty: World at War seems to be a top-of-the-line DS first person shooter.
The controls aren't too different from what you'd expect from the series on DS as the stylus directs your fire and, depending on your hand preference, either the d-pad or the four buttons direct your character's movement. The game makes good use of the touch screen although it occasionally clutters it."
