IGN: Hands-on: Mega Man Star Force 2

IGN writes: "We got to take the latest Mega Man action RPG for a spin at Capcom's recent Captivate event, and it's looking very similar to the first Mega Man Star Force. Whether or not that's a good thing depends on if you're happy with the direction the Blue Bomber has been headed in of late. These aren't the classic platformers we grew up with. These are reinventions of the franchise that cast the player as a young boy who has the ability to turn into Mega Man.

Star Force 2 will be available in two versions: Zerker X Ninja and Zerker X Saurian. They both offer a different powered-up version of Mega Man and its own special attack, as well as the Zerker form. Zerker gives Mega Man an enormous lightning sword; Ninja boosts his speed and gives him shurikans; Saurian gives him blazing fists.

The game picks up two months after the last one left off, with our hero Geo settling back into his routine after saving the universe. Of course, a mysterious new enemy named Rogue soon appears and Geo and his buddy Omega-Xis must combine to become Mega Man again."
