1UP Previews Import Version of Super Dodgeball Brawlers

1UP writes: "Like its cousin River City Ransom, Super Dodgeball was one of those quiet little NES games that netted a small handful of fans during its lifetime but exploded into cult popularity as emulation and ROM trading allowed a wider audience to appreciate its ahead-of-its-time game design and wonderful, addictive, competitive gameplay. For all the moral and legal issues surrounding emulation, its legacy of introducing overlooked classics to a more appreciative world is an undeniable benefit of the technology. Of course, all the retrospective appreciation in the world doesn't do the creators of the game any good when you're learning to love their creations for free, but for once gamers will have an opportunity put their money where their ROM directory is: Super Dodgeball is being revived (and enhanced) for DS in the form of Super Dodgeball Brawlers".
