Retailer hints: Luigi's Mansion 2 Wii U launch title?

Last E3, a sequel was announced for Luigi's Mansion. Publisher Nintendo confirmed that the game was in development for the 3DS - but now a retail listing has hinted that the handheld will not be alone.

they didn't establish anything all we knew was that luigi's mansion is comin to 3ds, then they gave a trailer and that was it. development can be switched over to other systems

If this rumor holds any weight, the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system will receive a masterful launch title in Luigis Mansion 2.

The Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS entertainment systems will work together in complete harmony to deliver a co-op butter smooth performance. I will be more than happy to show my support to Nintendo & Lord Miyamoto Master and Savior of Gaming and Innovation, and purchase both versions of Luigis Mansion 2 on release.

Luigi has lived in Marios shadow for long enough, it is now time for him to shine. And shine he shall with the coordinated strategic strikes of two releases on two innovative Nintendo platforms.

I doubt this is true.....as good as Luigi's Mansion was....its not really a system seller. It will work well on 3DS, but for Wii-U, I don't see them making two versions at once. I mean come on, its not as important as Smash Bros, which will be developed for both systems at once. I am not opposed to a Lugi's Mansion on Wii-U, it just seems this is just a mis-interpretation of the 3DS game being listed as a Wii-U title.I guess we will have to see at E3....but don't be too shocked if its not there for Wii-U.

I love Luigi's Mansion, I got it on launch day but I never got round to completing it. I guess I'll get my Cube out and finish what I started. :)

It's confirmed for Smash Bros. *shrugs* If this post holds true, maybe they're trying something similar for Luigi's Mansion.

While the multiplatform approach like what Sony is doing is somewhat interesting, it is also kind of stupid. Who would buy the same game at the same time twice?

Unless this has more to do with putting a game on both consoles for those with only one... but still...@_@;

Although it would be cool if it was completely separate from the 3ds version and launched alongside pikmin 3... the gamecube launch all over again...^o^;

I reckon there are benefits to it. Sakurai says the next Smash Bros.' Wii U and 3DS versions will be integral to each other. Apparently they're going to do something where you need both versions to get the experience.

Yeah, you're having to spend more money, but as long as you're getting you're money's worth, I see no issue.
