PSN minis might not be as sexy as iOS games, but they can still rake in the cash for developers. The critically acclaimed Hungry Giraffe release from Laughing Jackal has now hit over 100,000 downloads in three months.
Have done well on PSN, the game is now heading to the iPhone where it can continue to notch up big sales. That and the recently released shooter Velocity from FuturLab show what a little creativity can do within the confines of the mini development platform.
Flame Over breathes life into a very unique genre that forces you to accept death as another gameplay mechanic. Battling a deadly fire and rescuing its potential victims is strangely addictive.
Flame Over is just as good as it was on the PS Vita and looks eye-blisteringly fantastic on the big screen.
I played the PS vita version extensively and the game is an 8 at best - more like a 7.5. The problem is that the game gets incredibly difficult after a few levels. If you like difficult games, then buy all means try it.
