DSOGaming writes: "Soccer fans, get ready as we have some brand new information about the new version of the legendary Fifa series. David Rutter, the main producer of Fifa 13, told to everyone that was present at a recent London showcase that FIFA 13 will have 5 major improvements. These 5 improvements are First Touch Control, Player Impact, Complete Dribble, Tactical Free-Kicks and Attacking AI."

Not sure about this new fifa game

GanjaMan4380d ago (Edited 4380d ago )

good for u but theres like more than 10mill football fans who cant wait to get the new fifa (including me)

Corepred44379d ago

And me! Can't wait for the next Fifa, as long as there are improvements. cough servers!!! cough. and more customization to one's virtual pro player and maybe even more depth to the way you level him up.

Nes_Daze4380d ago

I don't think I'm going to buy another Fifa game that quick, but if the improvements are worth it I'll surely pick it up.

OcelotRigz4380d ago

Same, will try the demo and see what friends think of it first.

All FIFA 12 needs is a few tweaks in the right place and it can be a really great game. Its good a lot of the time, but definitely had its flaws, especially when the AI decided you're not going to win, that drove me mental.

Still, its all i got since my beloved PES turned to crap.

Nes_Daze4380d ago

Yeah, the AI in FIFA games can be ridiculous. They also have to fix the micro-pausing in the game, and the squad updating(somehow my squads will be reset and updated with imaginary players).

OcelotRigz4380d ago

Yeah the start-up and navigating the menus is way too slow, every little thing you do requires saving on the spot, instead of moving on and have it save in the background like most other games.

Oh and fix or rather redo the shambles that is saving and viewing goals. Offside players being magnets for the ball, nobody reacting to rebounds and pace, needs to be more noticeable i.e. Dirk Kuyt should not be able to catch Theo Walcott, especially when he is a yard ahead.

I still have FIFA 11, didnt get FIFA 12. But I'm planning on buying FIFA 13

1nsomniac4380d ago

It looks awesome im looking forward to it. I think the best thing to do with Fifa's these days is to buy every other years instead. As a massive old skool PES fan ive loved the way FIFA has developed over the last few years.

john24380d ago

Same here. Was a die-hard ISS player (back in the PS1 days, although I also loved Fifa98). After PES3, the series started going downhill and the latest versions of PES are a joke. Fifa on the other hand got better. Fifa 2002 was a complete joke and it started getting better with Fifa 2009

Solid_Snake374380d ago

lol remember how childish the players acted when you scored an own goal in FIFA 02?

deanoreido4380d ago

is it just me who thinks those screenshots are from fifa 12, look awful familiar to me..

john24380d ago

Nope, they are not from Fifa 12. They are from an early version of Fifa 13

deanoreido4380d ago

sorry about that, they just looked really similar to ones for fifa 12, but I should have done some digging before commenting, Good share!

yezz4380d ago

didn't buy 12 so im getting this one... the players have more detailed hair than before :D

john24380d ago (Edited 4380d ago )

Graphics wise there won't be any significant changes (at least from what I can tell from those shots). There will be some little changes here and there but nothing ground-breaking (like grass with physics or independent blades for the grass).

Can't wait to see what a PS4/X720 Fifa game will look like

xtreampro4380d ago (Edited 4380d ago )

Trust me FIFA will never take full advantage of next-gen hardware, if FIFA 12 barley scrapes this gens hardware what makes you think it will next-gen. FIFA 12 could've looked 100/150x's better than what we got but graphics doesn't seem to be their main focus, the gameplay is.

Expect every next-gen FIFA game to look slightly better than the launch version for the new consoles.

I would personally wish for an ultra-realistic looking FIFA game with incredibly realistic and good gameplay, but that's never going to happen.

We will always get massive upgrades in gameplay and small upgrades in graphics rather than a balance between both (e.g massive upgrades in gameplay & graphics)

Not all outdated football games are worthless

Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."

Now Sonic Boom & Bayonetta 2 are being outsold by FIFA 13 Wii U

Just who is buying FIFA 13 on Wii U? We may never know, but there are more people buying that than there are Bayonetta 2 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

Sonic Boom? welp, sucks to suck.
But, Bayonetta is a real shame

wonderfulmonkeyman3442d ago

Sonic Boom is riding off the popularity of the TV show; it's a bad game.

And as for FIFA?
Well, guess that goes to show that there's a lot of older gamers on Wii U that wanted FIFA, then; sports games generally do out-sell action games, and Platinum isn't known for large sales in the first place.

I'm not worried for Bayonetta. It'll hit that 1M mark by the middle of next year, surely, at its current pace.

are seriously trying to downplay Bayonetta 2 with sales
