***COD Black OPS Spoilers Below**
Gamesradar- "One of the biggest surprises of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 reveal trailer was the appearance of Sergeant Frank Woods as an old man in the year 2025. It was a surprise because I was pretty sure I remembered him getting blown to bits at the end of the first Black Ops.
So I checked and - yeah - pretty much he gets blown to bits. Although the whole gory mess of Frank Woods getting blown to bits actually happens off-screen. Regardless, I still can't see how Woods could have possibly survived."
Following the Wii U and 3DS servers being taken offline, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts are officially dead.
Call of Duty players are jumping into Black Ops 2 for the final time before its Wii U servers go offline for good.
GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 leap up due to summer sales
Wow, good games never get old I guess.
CoD will always be a beast of a franchise, and how awesome is it that you can just boot it up or pop it into your Xbox and play, MS BC is really a neat feature.
The whole thing about Black Ops is pretty much woods was delusional thinking there was another when it was him the whole time. My reason for how woods survived is that, the story we play in BO1 is actually being told to us (by future Woods) rather then what really happened. He's telling us the story that was written "officially". I think in BO2 we'll end up replaying that mission to see what really happened to woods.
Or, I don't exactly remember everything but the guy who was interrogating woods was the guy who lived at the end correct? Well maybe perhaps that guy was actually Woods, and the guy you saw was really in the chair. All the electric treatment and such maybe was a way to brainwash him into thinking he was Woods.
Woods died for sure, but then Mason confused Reznov for Woods even though they both weren't there at the time. It's confusing.
Doesn't anyone want to hazard a guess about how he not only survived a grenade blast to the chops but is also still around, albeit bound to a chair, nearly ONE HUNDRED YEARS after the events of Black Ops? (1968 > 2055?)
If this is some sort of adverse effect of gunpowder then I'm going to start cooking grenades for breakfast.
Actually he was born in 1930, now do the math...
Frank Woods was the best character IMO in Black Ops... I don't care what happened off-screen in terms of him dying... I am just glad he is back... even at 95 years old... That just shows how badass the dude is even at 95... He would still probably try to get out there and kick some serious ass even in a wheelchair...
