expect PS3 to beat 20:1 /15:1 when DMC 4 is launched in JAPAN

I feel bad for CAPCOM who knows that DMC4 x360 version will be a MEGA FLOP in JAPAN

DMC4 will sell more on PS3 in EU (total)

even in UK PS3 version might trounce the X360 version

just see the charts at HMV,PLAY,GAME and AMAZON UK

In EU PS3 version will sell atleast 500k more copies than the x360 version

However the X360 version will definitely sell more in NA BUT AFTER the HD DVD demise i guess everything might change all of a sudden

PS3 will match /surpass x360 sales in UK

However it will murder x360 version's sales in ALL of eu including italy ,france,germany,spain and REST OF EU and ofcourse JAPAN

luckily for capcom, there's still hope for good sales on 360 in the UK/US

I'm not saying the 360 version will undoubtedly sell better than the PS3 version... I'm just saying, the sales MIGHT be ok to the point where it picks up the slack that Japan sales may have in the US and UK for 360.

I was curious when I saw that article about the 360 reaching almost 10k in Japan, then I saw the growth of the PS3 as well. The 360 grew by 17.6%, while the PS3 grew by 21.8%. I don't mind 360 fans looking at this with glass half full as long as they don't become hypocrites when we look at the U.S. in the same way for the PS3.

Wow that's some software list. When are PSP games going to be bought by Japan? They buy enough PSP's every week.

"The 360 in its second year has managed to sell, with all of its really big hitters coming out, just 7.3M units. The PS3 with only a handful of big hitters and competition on both sides from Microsoft and Nintendo (that remember the 360 didn’t have in its first year), has managed to sell in 14 months 8.9M units. Europe still has 3-4 months of sales yet to reach one year. So if we take the 8.9 as it stands now and include 3-4 months of Europe sales it will probably be about 10-10.5M units by April. But we’ll take the initial 2 months of Japan and America sales that cover Nov-Dec of 2006 off that figure to give us a rough indication of global sales for the year, and your at about 9-9.5M units after one year.

That’s approx. 2M unit difference for the PS3 compared to the 360 after one year.

This year, PS3’s big hitters arrive, so lets say Sony manage to increase that gap for 2008 by 2M more units, as those titles will probably shift a few more units.

Now, if the 360 sells the same this year as last year, that’s 7.3M units to add to its 16-17M units it already has shipped, that equals approx. 23-24M units worldwide by the end of 2008.

If the PS3 sells 2M units more this year over its first year sales, thats:

9.5M (first years estimated global sales) + 11.5M (2M units more for 2008) = 21M units. Add-on the initial 1.3M units we took off for Nov-Dec of 2006 for America and Japan and your at, 22.3M units by the end of 2008.

Even if we say next year those big hitters for PS3 have NO impact and the sales remain the same.

9.5 + 9.5 + 1.3 = 20.3M units. So the gap between PS3 and the 360 would only be about 2 to 3M units by the end of 2008. Now thats just estimates, but you see the general direction this is going, and thats just after one more year of sales. Even if the differences in sales are half of what i’ve just estimated them to be, it would only be 1.5 to 2 years away that the gap is closed. So, 2009 could just see the PS3 take the lead"

been beaten by a handheld...i say wow but japan purchase Ds like they are eating it and man i m not DS fan but i think some proper console deserve that place... i mean look at the DS games they are all kiddish and pointless except some very good. i hope PS3 or any other console topples it.
