New Play Control! Pikmin 2 will be making its way to North America in just a couple of months, as reportedly revealed in the latest Nintendo Power.

Its about time this happened. I have been waiting for the day I could play through both with the motion control setup, which does wonders for the Nintendo platform exclusive Pikmin franchise. Now when the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system launches pikmin 3, the first two will be backward compatable titles. Everything can run smoothly without the need to hook up past consoles. Which would result in leaving your entertainment center looking like a decepticon just to enjoy the full Pikmin experience.

Thank you Nintendo for noticing that, and as usual doing what's necessary to put a smile on the face of elite Nintendo supporters worldwide.

You must be joking. This is awful. I was hoping for some HD re-releases for WiiU. It is 2012 we shouldn't be getting 480p anything anymore. 720p is already seen as bottom of the barrel these days. Now what? Same game. More waggle? I'd prefer to just pick this up on Gamecube.

The game has already been made. And if you have ever played Pikmin in your life, you would understand the necessary add of the Nintendo Wiimote feature. Stop your crying and negativity and show some respect. You dont like.. you dont buy.

I didnt even know pikmin 2 had a Wii version and it came out 3 years ago to Europe and Japan.

WTF is happening to Nintendo of America they also drag their feet with Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower. Oh and they are not even bringing The Last Story to the US XSEED is I hope they dont do this with the WiiU.
