GameFan Magazine: "Remember Cool Spot and Yo! Noid? Well, World Gone Sour for XBLA and PSN carries on their spirit while bringing the delicious Sour Patch Kids to life in this wonderful side-scrolling, action platformer that’s a little bit Donkey Kong Country mixed with Pikmin. Special guest host Robin Kunimune, from Topware, joins us in the crazy antics that’s GameFan’s 15 Minutes of Fame. Don’t miss out!"
Advergaming has a horrible--and undeserved--reputation.
GotGame: At first glance, World Gone Sour looks like a game that’s sole purpose is to advertise something to you while you play. Fortunately, not only is that not the case, but Playbrains manages to pump out a rather enjoyable platformer that looks kiddy but somehow ends up being a little on the adult side.
GameDynamo - "All in all, World Gone Sour was actually something of a treat to play. Oh, and there's also co-op – you can play through the game in a semi-competitive fashion with a friend's help."
Now I want some Sour Patch Kids...
