Welcome to a new series of "Let’s Pwn! In this series we are taking on the greatest* space sim ever made and one of the greatest* games in existence.
Freespace 2 is better than the original Freespace in every single way (and that’s not putting Freespace down because it is a great game) The story is better with a lot more mystery and peril, a better soundtrack, better and more varied missions and some of the most epic space battles you will ever see.
There are 40 videos in this series consisting of all missions of Freespace 2 gold edition including cut scenes. Enjoy!
VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "The fall period has begun and sunlight is becoming increasingly scarce, especially here in the north where I happen to live. With daylight hours quickly withering away as winter approaches, I thought we should take some time to listen to some seasonally-fitting creepy and dark themes from the world of video games. Of course, Halloween is also right around the corner, so it works quite nicely for that as well.
Over the years we've heard some truly amazing video game themes that have captured the feelings of sorrow, solitude, dread, and sheer terror perfectly. So, in keeping with the spirit of the season, here are some dark themes from the world of video games for you to listen to."
GOG has just announced that they have launched their special space-themed sales campaign. So that means that you could pick-up some really great space games to a nice price. Furthermore, you could also get "Freespace 2" all for free until the 27th of September.
Every year we get a deluge of the same types of game that came the year before. A large portion of modern Triple A titles fall neatly into a select few genres.
Along the way certain genres have fallen by the wayside, Bag of Games explores some of these “forgotten formulas” and examine where they stand in today’s industry.
Space Combat has Star Citizen on the horizon.
Platform games need actual platforming. Infamous and AC series are not platformers, and the average 3D platformer requires no skill these days. If Nintendo wants me to buy a Wii U, they should make Mario difficult again.
FPS Adventure thrives in low budget European titles. They're all over Steam and Gamersgate.
The text adventure's most recent quality release was called Cypher. It was pretty excellent despite some rough edges.

It truly is the greatest space sim ever.
