IGN description of the story behind Monster Madness: EX. The game is also known as Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia. "Four friends get together for a party while the parents are away, but somebody ... or something, is about to crash the party. In four-player melee action, you will fight off the monster invasion in this top-down action/shooting game. Customize and build your own weapons by grabbing parts from the house and town to create more powerful attack tools, and find rare parts to build some ultimate weapons. Jack abandoned vehicles and deck them out with weapons to ride through the terrain and take out creatures. Visit five locations, including the suburban town, the high school, and the "Shopping Maul." The use of the Ageia NovodeX Physics platform allows you to interact with the environments physics to give yourself an advantage, such as creating barrides or throwing large objects, while the visual system uses the advanced Unreal 3 Engine".
Monster Madness producer Lee Perez has moved to clarify comments made in an interview with VideoGamer.com in which he said "memory limitations" are the biggest challenge of developing on the PS3.
another d1ckbag doing damage control now, maybe they will learn to keep their mouths shut about architecture they barely understand. Like he said they are not doing the porting but psyonix is. So a guy who is not even working on the PS3 is qualified to makes comments on its architecture?? fanboy developers fail again.
this guys still a loser, its been over 18 months and their still complaining about developing for the PS3!
and has ANYONE even heard of monster madness?
He's fumbling.
'B-B-B-But t-t-that's n-not w-what w-w-we m-meant!!1111'
I am sick of this crap. The PS3 is a complex system that should be explored. Developers need to stop making excuses and take the time to learn about the PS3 and what it can do.
Monster who? Never heard of this crap developer/dude. On other hand, about that Kojima dude and his MGS4, it looks amazing, right?
This game bombed out the ass on the xbox 360, it's going to bomb here too. Only, now, he's trying to make it bomb on purpose. Who the hell is going to buy the ps3 version now that the main dev said it's too hard to work on the system and the game isn't going to be as good, basically?
No one.
What kills me is Monster Maddness looks like a ps2 game. uncharted looks better than anything on the xbox 360 1+1 isn't = 2 here. With all that said and with what the main dev here said, I guess we can call Bullsnots on this version being superior with better graphics and textures and all that, right?
The funny thing, he's the guy who said it.
Last year, Xbox 360 owners got a chance to blast zombies, werewolves and other supernatural creatures with Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia. It was a top-down action game with upgradeable weapons, four player co-op and online multiplayer as well. However, the game had a couple of problems that kept many people away, such as bland multiplayer modes and a hampered upgrade system. Going back to the drawing board, Psyonix and Artificial Studios decided to redesign the entire title for the PS3. The result is Monster Madness: Grave Danger, which will add some new features and game elements to the original title.
Previously known as Monster Madness EX, the Psyonix Studios-developed PlayStation 3 edition of Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia has been retitled Monster Madness: Grave Danger and is expected to hit stores between May 1 and July 31.
POS game.
