I've never understood why people feel the need to change Alyx's appearance,

You select what you want. I hate the changes to Alyx's model (beauty is not removing clothes, laminating their body, and face slamming them into make up over and over) but the graphics mod is INSANE. Fakefactory really brings life back into the game. It's such a shame that the extreme attention to graphical detail he has gets overshadowed by the third rate models he includes in his pack as optionals. People just look at the shots, grimace, and then never look back.

Honestly though check it out - it's a great way to replay a classic.

I don't think you know what "laminating" means

@CaptCalvin - to laminate is to layer two different materials and fuse them. It is generally used in reference to plastic being laminated onto things such as wood flooring or paper and card. I am suggesting that usually these models look like they have been covered in a thin film of plastic. They look fake. i.e. laminated.

He means the plastic look that it gives to characters like Unreal Engine 3.

If you're referring to the character models, they are all optional, you can choose which you want to use. New shitty looking Jersey Shore looking ones, or the Original.

The principle advantage is in *everything else* that's added to boost the heck out of the game's visual quality.

Kran, the mod adds more than just character models.It enhances the lighting, allows new play features, and a bunch of other stuff. Most people just get distracted by the ugly ass models, but the mod itself is well made.
