Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 is the sequel to a game with an interesting premise: what if the entire game industry was personified as a variety of characters in a video game? This resulted in a game taking place in the magical world of gameindustri where you played as the personification of the Sega Genesis as a stereotypical anime-underage girl to aid the other consoles in the fight against piracy. The sequel this time follows the pursuits of the handheld consoles, the younger sisters to the home consoles, and their fight to once again crush piracy and save their sisters with the aid of various game companies and videogame references. Does the game manage to be even as remotely as interesting as its premise?
So many great games, so many franchises saved by developers revisiting exactly what it is players want. Hopefully, other developers wallowing in mediocrity can look to these games as blueprints for what they should do going forward.

Michibiku's Jenni Lada writes, "Hyperdimension Neptunia is huge. It’s a massive series that covers tons of games, all of which are sort of connected? Though also not really, because quite a few are spin-offs and non-canon. It’s a lot to take in, to be sure. With Megadimension Neptunia VII on the horizon, we here at Michibiku felt like we should offer an overview of the main series’ installments."
more like "Lolicon/10".
that is the oddest game score i have ever seen.
Neptunia's setting and mythos is a great idea but the delivery is less to be desired.
I for one enjoyed this game for what it is but I wished they could have done better and didn't focus too much on a certain demographic of gamers.
A niche title that's not for everyone but can surely bring some few good laughs.
