I'm surprised. Congratulations to Microsoft for getting 2 Kinect games to top the charts. Kinect seems to be live and well. That's a great achievement. Microsoft clearly dominated Europe this time around, for that my hat is tipped. Landing 5 games in the top 10 charts.

I am also happy to see Nintendo 3DS exclusive Mario Kart 7 remain in the top 10. The only handheld title that made the top chart, and it happens to be a Nintendo 3DS game. Showing the true staying power of Nintendo exclusive titles. Mario Party for the Nintendo Wii entertainment system had a strong showing on the charts as well.

This goes on to show that through hard work, great innovation, and exclusive titles pay off in the long run. nice numbers from Ninty and Micro. The big 2 did an amazing job this week. Heres hopes for the same type of results next week. Have a blessed day and happy gaming.

Rated E For Everyone

Not sure why you got disagrees. It looks like a lot of people bought a Kinect just to get Kinect Star Wars.

I actually like the game, sometimes games can be like summer action moves, they aren't going to win awards, but its fun to just enjoy them.

I'd like to see it do well and maybe they can improve upon the sequel.

"Not sure why you got disagrees"

1) He's likely another DarkSniper account. Most of his comments are written like ads for Nintendo or the 360, missing only the registered trademark symbols.
2) He's purposely ignoring the fact that the ps3 has a load of games on there; more on the top 30 than any of the other platforms.
3) "getting 2 Kinect games to top the charts" - On a weekly chart? Whoop de doo. One of them is even a pack-in. It's Kinect SW's first week....were you expecting it to be at the bottom? And sub-100K isn't good for a game they put so much into. The ad campaign is massive.

You seem mad bro, if he's an ad for Nintendo and Microsoft, what are you an ad for exactly?

Sub 100k barely in EU, sold over 400k world wide in 4 days, that is impressive. It also obviously helped push Xbox 360 sales and Kinect sales as well.

I have been away from N4G for a little while, maybe 4-5 months, back then VGChartz was BS from pretty much everyone, majority of Sony fanboys, MS fanboys, Nintendo fanboys all pretty much agreed its fake and made up numbers.

So how come all of a sudden i see alot of VGChart articles get 100+ comments, did i miss something?, I have read comments and people saying "well done MS" or "wow 3DS is doing so good", are they still not BS made up, pull it out my ass fake numbers??

Um VG it's just FIFA 12, drop the soccer that's what the Americans call it because for some reason a game where they use there hands more is called football.

I dont understand how peoole on this site wish for kinect star wars to be successful but the the same people, get happy if games like Killzone or Infamous arent super retail successes.

Even worse the people that praise this probably hated the force unleashed series.

This generation of gamer is more casual than ever i think, thanks ninty and apple

@ silent..if it makes you feel better I did notice ps3 had the most games of any of the big 3 in spots 80 to 100.

One of the worst things to happen to Star Wars was it being exclusive to Kinect when PS Move could have been a better version because of "buttons" per Kevin with better tracking. And the controller looking like a light saber hilt. Or, had an actual light saber game similar to the dojo in Vader Immortal.

But the miming lies on the Microsoft E3 stage was icing on the cake of this garage. Wasn't even live gameplay. Just bad acting. Nothing ground breaking about this travesty.

While we're at it, can we get rid of NBA Live and get NBA Street Homecourt back? Or NBA Jam?!

RetroCaptainSteve837d ago

Yeah, but we need that old school.

I miss the the PS2, GCN and Xbox days. I always preferred the arcade style sports games over the simulation entries. They were more entertaining for me to watch or play. There was a lot more variety back then as well. You had options. Now not so much.
