Tom, GamerEuphoria writes: "To be honest, Rebellion hasn’t had the greatest time of late with flops like Rogue Warrior and the lukewarm reception of Aliens vs. Predator, but Sniper Elite V2 shows that there’s still promise for the developer.
The spiritual successor to Sniper Elite on last generation machines, Sniper Elite V2 is set during World War II with the player stepping into the boots of an American elite sniper. His task is to eliminate key figures in the Third Reich’s army, and this is where the demo kicks off."
Jason was woefully unprepared for the slower-paced nature of Sniper Elite V2 — originally from the last-gen of consoles and now on practically everything (He played on his Switch). There’s no running and gunning, but there are certainly cool set pieces.
From Rebellion: "We’ve been delighted to see your response to our upcoming release of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. As an independent developer we value your support and try to be as transparent as we can.
For this reason we want to tell you about a small update to the boxed edition of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered in Europe and Australasia. The boxed edition in these territories will now be releasing three days later, on May 17th."
Carlos writes "2017 was a great year for the Xbox Backwards Compatibility program with many of our favourite 360 games made playable on Xbox One. That said, there are still a ton of highly requested games yet to arrive in the program and with 2018 set to see even more added, it makes sense that the first of the years new additions are now being given the treatment. This past week has seen six new games made backwards compatible, but which ones are worth returning to once more?"
"Six new games arrive via Backwards Compatibility"
Does anyone not see the funny side to this statement? I do... lol
I love the Sniper elite series & V2 is a great game & as I still have my 360 copy I'm good to go. Great news & it's free for me too.
the graphics look dated, but I love camera showing the damage you do. They also need to work on the animation, there were a lot of dodgy and clunky animations. Over all a very promising game.
Can't wait to get home to download the demo and try it. I've been looking forward to this for some time now.
im playing the demo now and its actually not bad at all ill probably buy it may 1st its only a 50 dollar game at my gamestop well worth it.
This game is day one for me. I am playing it now and its well worth it. I love it so far. Promising SP campaign. Graphics dont look that dated. Hennessey is a graphics whore. Hasn't been gaming that long to appreciate good games. He grew up in the PS1 era
