VideoGamer - F.E.A.R. Files Review

VideoGamer's Xbox 360 review says:

"F.E.A.R. Files is a highly enjoyable package, but the games do show their heritage. Both expansions are based on an engine that we first saw over two years ago and games have moved on. For some thrilling and often scary gameplay look no further, especially if you're a fan of the first game, but gamers who have gorged on Call of Duty 4, BioShock and Halo 3 might find Sierra's latest a little dated."

Score: 7/10

I been playing alot of this game latly and It's pretty darn good. If you play Both campains back to back it seems a little longer than FEAR and there isn't as much hallway roaming. They get to the fights and frights fairly quickly compared to FEAR. You can tell Extraction Point and Persious Mandate are mad by differant devs, Extraction Point has Monolith writen all over it. Thats not to say Persious Mandate sucks, it's starts out a little dull but picks up about an hour into it. Both campains offer more action than FEAR and the Instant action add even more. Multuplayer is just like the first FEAR on the 360 with 1 or 2 things added here and there. Graphics arn't bad on a HD tv but smell like turds on a standard tv. My personal rating for this game would be an 8.1 because it's just not the same without Monolith but offers some great fun and should be in your collection and for only $50 you have no excuse.

F.E.A.R.2 Interview: Dev "PS3 has certain challenges that are unique, but so does the Xbox 360 and the PC."

Ve3tro: "In a recent interview with the developers behind the upcoming sequel F.E.A.R.2. The team said the Playstation 3 has certain challenges that are unique, but so does the Xbox 360 and the PC."

Head over for the full interview.

After seeing games such as Killzone 2, Uncharted, Resistance 2, MGS4, and so forth, the only "challenge" I see is picking between a primo AAA first-party title on the PS3 or a half-a$$ed 3rd-party title that probably won't even get DLC support, and that's not much of a challenging choice for me...

Gamespot's E3 2008: Project Origin Hands-On

The transition from F.E.A.R. to Project Origin may have resulted in a tragic loss of punctuation, but this sequel to the 2005 horror shooter has added more than a few visceral bells and whistles to make up for it. We were quite pleased to find this out during a run through the E3 2008 demo available to all passersby on the show floor. Whether it's a tweak to the shooting mechanics, the art direction (you'll actually see colors this time!), or the mech suit available to pilot at occasional moments in the game, Project Origin is looking like an excellent follow-up to its well-received predecessor.
