Fans attending the Penny Arcade Expo East in Boston this weekend will get to take a look at the continuation of Penny Arcade's RPG series, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode 3.
"What happens when two guys who made moderately successful retro RPGs are handed the thought to be dead Penny Arcade games? Though the real question is, what happens when that game is a success and they now have to make the final chapter in the On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness series? We talk with Bill Stiernberg and Robert Boyd of Zeboyd Games about exactly that." - David Rhinehart of Geekenstein.com
No, not Monty Python. Sorry. Instead our intrepid gamer, Geoff, is going to look at the latest entry in the Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rainslick Precipice Of Darkness series. And this time it’s all change with a new developer at the helm...
Shacknews: "Fans of Penny Arcade humor, Zeboyd's previous games, and/or old-school RPGs should definitely check out Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3. It's a well written comedy with some interesting combat scenarios, and while it won't win any 'flashiest game' awards, I enjoyed the romp it provides enough to look forward to the final chapter."
I thought they canceled it after their other games flopped.
16-bit style?
No mention of the ps3 version?
Different dev studio?
Bit questionable, but I won't look this gift horse in the mouth.
I've been eagerly anticipating this game for almost 4 years.
Played this yesterday and it is fantastic. Very well done, the combat works well and the control set up was very nice. Its a 16bit style so the graphics are what they are but it is very much a penny arcade game and I had an absolute blast playing it.
