Yes!! I am so glad to hear this... Was scared this wouldn't make it over here. I don't care what reviewers say when giving these games bad scores. The fact of the matter is that I had more fun with Way of the Samurai 3 than most other games this generation.

I've always loved this series though to be honest. This is indeed good news for me. XD

I only played the original but I loved it.

I really would love to see a samurai game take the open world a bit more like Red Dead did. In ancient Tokyo, Kyoto and the mountains in between. I just love wandering around. I would love this.

I'd like another tenchu exclusive on ps3. Shinobido 2 for ps vita is a good samurai game also. I can't wait for the way of the samurai 4

Red Dead Redemption and The Last Samurai had very similar themes such as modernization and the samurai/cowboy rebellion. I'd love to see a Last Samurai based open world game by Rockstar :)

The first WotS game was the BEST. That is for sure, but number 3 was great too... I think 2 was my least favorite, but still fun as heck.

That would be amazing though, to have it open world as you mentioned. Gah if only this game were made by Rockstar! Lol

Way of the Samurai is another welcoming addition to the library of PlayStation exclusives. Dark Sniper has enjoyed Way of the Samurai since the original on PS2. Dark Sniper is glad to see another terrific exclusive grace the historically great PlayStation®3 Home Entertainment Terminal.

This article is a complete failure. Samurai Shodown is the most famous 'samuai video game series of all time. Samurai Shodown should have been at the beginning of article

No love for Fist Samurai or Second Samurai on Commodore Amiga?! Outrageous 😄

Umb624d ago

I know right. How about Lords of the Rising Sun by Cinemaware on the Amiga.

Maybe by the author is too young to remember those masterpieces, or I'm too old and have experienced them!

Cosmoplayer84624d ago

For me the onimusha series is the best samurai game ever made!

MWH624d ago

The fondest feudal japan game experiences i had were Samurai Shodown and Onimusha, especially Onimusha 1 and 2, they were the best of the best.

Didn't RF5 already release in Japan half-baked and full of framerate and loading issues? Did they fix anything?

Story Of Seasons (And Success) - An Interview With XSEED Games' President, Ken Berry

From The Gamer: "2020 was a banner year for video game publisher XSEED, releasing nine different titles over the course of the year while exceeding previous highest-sales and fastest-selling records worldwide. This is all especially impressive given the fact that it happened during such an unprecedented year for the industry.

2020 was also the first time that I played a game released by XSEED, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, which led to me playing even more titles including Ys: Memories of Celceta, Kandagawa Jet Girls, and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, the latter of which ended up as one of my top-ten games 2020. I’m officially all-in on XSEED titles and I can’t wait to experience everything that the Marvelous subsidiary has planned for this year."
