"For more than fifteen years players have been experiencing the Resident Evil series through the eyes of the good guys. They’ve controlled Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Chris and Claire Redfield, among others, but never before have they been given the opportunity to see the events of the series from the perspective of the evil Umbrella Corporation. Part of the intent of Operation Raccoon City was to expose players to the other side of the story, offering an inside look at the events surrounding Resident Evil 2 and 3. Sadly, this opportunity has been squandered on an inconsequential story and a gameplay experience that is at best, boring, and at worst, flat-out broken."
GF365: "Is Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City worth playing in 2023? This game originally received less than impressive reviews from critics and gamers alike. You may be wondering what this game is all about."
game was ridiculously dark when i played it bk then. not sure about now.
ike you couldnt see a damn thing ha
Now that Resident Evil 3 remake is less than a month away, here's a look back at the other times Capcom reimagined the 1999 classic game.
The Gamer's Ghost returns in this Late in the Game Review series to revisit Raccoon City. Did Slant Six Games' premier Resident Evil title hold up to the series' standards? Or was it rotten, like the very zombies spawned from Umbrella's dastardly research?
I actually thought this was a fun game. Was it great? No. But there were some very cool moments in the game.
Stand outs were taking on the Nemesis with a group and the Tyrant on the elevator.
One if the worst games I ever had the dishonor of playing I'm glad Capcom has rebounded to making quality games now even outside the RE series.
Wow, this score means that even a little flash game that got a 2/5 is a better experience than this resident evil.
Question: aren't these websites/journalists exaggerating with these scores ?
Ouch! I didn't make the game but that hurts my feelings. Almost saying it should have never been made. Can't be that bad can it? Will need to play it an see.
:(
It looked so great, graphics were cool too.
How can they ruin a game like this? I mean, millions fans are waiting for resident evil games.
Something went wrong. A lot of things, we should say.
I have the game and can say it isn't nearly as bad as these scores are giving it.
It isn't perfect and is far from the greatest game ever but it is certainly better than the over exaggerated reviews...A patch or two later on would only make it better.
Pretty decent game, if i were objective I wouldn't give it less than a 7/10.
