that great i cant wait for this game,i am going to get this game for my ps3 and play loading free, then when i am done i will uninstall it. and plus i have played the first and second part for the ps2 so i am already confortble with the ps3 controller. I am really excited for dmc4.

jiggyjay5982d ago (Edited 5982d ago )

So is the PS3 a console or a PC? whats the deal with a 4.8 gb free for installation! Sounds more like a PC to me! Another innovation stolen from M$ good job Sony! I know your not making any money in the gaming division but at least pay those engineers of yours to think!

edit- you will still end up having load times. I'm pretty sure they are doing this so they can speed it up! that's the power of 2x Blu Ray reader for you!

Lex Luthor5982d ago (Edited 5982d ago )

I'd rather have loading times than a massive 4.8gb of my hard drive taken.

Edit: Yes i have the 20Gb ps3. Nearly all the space is taken up with music and photos, i have around 3.6Gb left. Plus the fact that installation of DMC4 is mandatory and must be done, it means i'm screwed if i buy the ps3 version. Why should i upgrade my HDD just to be able to play a game.

Anego Montoya FTMFW5982d ago (Edited 5982d ago )

thats such a sissy thing to say.

your funny.

you know you can delete it, right?

funny, funny stuff.

and i`m pretty sure you mean "borrowed" not "taken" right?

rofldings5982d ago

@lex

Let me guess, you have a puny 20gb hdd?

AllroundGamer5982d ago (Edited 5982d ago )

ehm you know it is only 13gb of usable space? damn nextgen :) i have the "20gb" too and had often to delete demos, which wasn't yet the problem on my 60gb PS3 :p

BulletToothtony5982d ago

a lot of trilogies (matrix, indiana jones, lotr) on my hdd most of my mp3 collection, all games installed, crapload of pics and themes and i still have 156gb left,

good thing about the ps3 is that when you finally fill up that big ol 60gb $ 140 will buy you an 250gb hdd at tiger direct, not truly needed but just convinient, i never quite filled up my 60gb i just don't want to worry about the 10 years i'm planning on using my ps3, 1 down and 9 to go!!

cheap hdds ftw

So all the PSN support is leaderboards no character downloads?

Bonsai12145982d ago

if you've bothered playing the last game, you'd know that extra character skins are unlockables, or you can cheat to get them. there's no need to pay extra money for things that should be included in the game.

Spike475982d ago

this game looks like a 9.

but who knows I have'nt played it yet so i can't judge.

mighty_douche5982d ago

...its hack and slash at its simplist so i wouldnt expect many 9+'s. Im gonna hold out for the demo, i like to try things myself rather than take someone else's opinion as gospel.

mintaro5982d ago

wow an 8.5 is a great score, kudos to the devs

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC32d ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Exvalos31d ago

What a weird name, it's essentially devil may cry, devil may cry lol

Cacabunga31d ago

Best to good for me: 3, reboot, 1, 5

2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me

Friendlygamer32d ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

monkey60232d ago (Edited 32d ago )

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya32d ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde32d ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

SeTTriP31d ago

This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.

Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.

Aaroncls7109d ago

Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.

Sephiroushin108d ago (Edited 108d ago )

DMC4 Special Edition is not delisted, it was just the standard version, it has nothing to do with issues of performance or anything alike. Its just that Capcom probably do not want to sell the standard version, neither the standalone DMC3 version.

Devil May Cry 4 - 15 Years of Nero

Devil May Cry 4 launched 15 years ago today, bringing with it new character Nero. Has it stood the test of time?

Knushwood Butt468d ago

Never liked it and I think I got it day 1.

Cheap Capcom design of half a game that you have to walk through twice.

5 isn't much different in that department. Encounter the same boss three times with three different characters? Endless warehouses or alien-like tunnels that all look the same.

chrisx468d ago

In DMC 5, it's 4 times you encounter the same bosses if you count the Vergil dlc lol

Knushwood Butt468d ago

Yeah, I'm only up to chapter 19 so the total count can only go up!

kevco33468d ago

No troll, I always preferred DMC.

No haters, please.

Knushwood Butt468d ago

I'm actually with you there, but DMC has that terrible writing. Alex Garland isn't it?

FallenAngel1984468d ago

Nero will always stand the rest of time against Donte and Viola
