Seriousless News - Lumines: Electronic Symphony Review

ADay writes "Since the series debut on the original PSP, Lumines has been a staple in the Sony hand-held brand. Several games and platforms later, the simple yet addicting series has finally made its way to the Playstation Vita in the form of Lumines: Electronic Symphony. There are a number of additions and tiny changes this time around, but the core experience is the Lumines you’ve come to love. If you already own a Vita or are planning on picking one up in the future, be sure to add this amazing installment to your collection."

A Look at All of the Rhythm Games Available on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "Despite its somewhat anaemic lineup of backwards-compatible titles (unusual in light of the genre’s strong pedigree on Sony consoles), Vita’s selection of rhythm games is highly impressive in the modern market with genre favourites like DJMax, Hatsune Miku and Taiko no Tatsujin all present and plenty of quirky oddities like Deemo, Love Live & Persona thrown in for good measure. You’re definitely going to need to try your hand at importing to get the most of the genre here, but that shouldn’t be an issue thanks to region-free hardware and easy-to-grasp gameplay."

No tearaway or killzone mercenary?

Kallisti2899d ago

Did the Vita ever get a game that looked better than Killzone? That game looked so good for a handheld game.

Darkwatchman2899d ago

Nope. Still most technically impressive vita title ever.

Deadpooled2899d ago

Probably the best fps on a handheld ever, actual effort from the developers Guerilla Cambridge compared to the shoddy devs who did those resistance and cod games.

Needs more Soul Sacrifice Delta

Deadpooled2899d ago

I remember the limited edition psvita soul sacrifice versions (red one) which looked stunningly beautiful.

I am a proud owner of one and it is awesome.

ONESHOTV22900d ago

for my list it's

Persona 4 Golden
NFS Most Wanted 12
Soul Sacrifice
Dynasty Warriors Next
Muramasa Rebirth
Terraria
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
Metal Gear Solid 2
Gravity Rush
Ninja Gaiden Σ Plus

StanleyRoper2900d ago

A totally decent list. I could add A LOT to it. How about the 2 EDF games? EDF 2017 Portable and EDF 2 Invaders From Planet Space?

Skankinruby2900d ago

Killzone mercenary, uncharted golden abyss, gravity rush, and resistance burning skies were my favs. So sad the vita wasn't more successful it had so much potential

Darkwatchman2899d ago

The only one you listed that I consider "best of the system" material is Killzone. Gravity Rush and Uncharted were Eh, but Resistance Burning Skies was decent. I did not like the single player. That portion of the game felt very underdeveloped, but the multiplayer for a time until Killzone came out was probably the best handheld shooter online expeience you could ever have. Tons of dumb fun
