Who would have thought that these two rivals of the fighting game scene would ever get along? Capcom & Namco came together to make the mother of all tag team games, but is it any good? To find out, Ben Quy from Hard Reset went to his friends and fellow fighting fanatics the RAF Fight Club to get their opinions on Street Fighter X Tekken
Or it's about to leave the storefront like another Capcom title.
With Street Fighter 6 now upon us, it's time to look back at some classic Street Fighter titles, beginning with Street Fighter X Tekken.
It was a cool gamble imo. In reality, everyone were waiting for Namco version, Tekken X Street Fighter.
What killed this game was their planned reliance on GaaS with the whole gem system. It made little sense and made the game extremely unbalanced. Not to mention the unbalance of most of the characters, especially on the Tekken side
Ahhh the game that Capcom had DLC on the disc on release yet you had to pay to unlock it
VGChartz's Daniel Parker: "Tekken and Street Fighter - two giants of the head-to-head fighting genre. A clashing of decades-old titans that was once thought to be a dream matchup that would never happen. It ignited a flame of excitement that quickly fizzled out and became a cautionary tale for game developers."
Unusual review with all the comments.
Every one is entitled to their opinion. Yes the online has issues but Capcom is working on a fix. I'm sure they will iron it out ASAP.
For me personally I would give this game a 9 but only because they need to balance and fix some of the infinite juggles that can be pulled off under certain conditions and the online issues hardreset mentioned.
But this is the most ambitious fighting game I have played in over a decade. Capcom did an incredible, but not perfect job. If they balance out the current issues, online and infinite combos, I would personally give this game a 10.
