2 Jan 2008 -- As part of a feature on the Daily Telegraph's website debunking celebrity endorsements, British neuroscientist Dr Jason Braithwaite takes issue with Nicole Kidman's endorsement of Dr Kawashima's Brain Training for the Nintendo DS:
"I have quickly found that training my brain [with Nintendo's Dr Kawashima's Brain Training computer game] is a great way to keep my mind feeling young."
- Nicole Kidman, actress
"There is no conclusive evidence showing that the continued use of these devices is linked to any measurable and general improvements in cognition. Practice at any task should lead to some form of improvement for that specific task."
- Dr Jason Braithwaite, cognitive neuroscientist

Here at God is a Geek, we've rounded up 6 DS and 3DS games that we want to see on Switch.
If Nintendo rolled out VC two years ago like they should have, there would probably be DS and 3DS games on the Switch by now. But yeah, I think DS and 3DS are something they should do.
The European Wii U eShop has received a late night surprise, Dr.Kawashima’s Brain Training (Brain Age in North America) has released.
The game has been made available for free and for a limited time following a similar release in Japan. Nintendo has not announced either release but did announce they would be bringing DS games to the Wii U Virtual Console in the future.
EDGE - The neurology may have been suspect, but the science of game design flourished as Nintendo took the newborn DS into strange new worlds.
What an interesting article. I played brain training a few times when it first came out, and I actually liked it a lot, despite the fact that it was basically the same kind of stuff that I was doing (and hating) at school.
And wow, 9 people worked on it and it only took 3 months? Then it went on to sell 19 million copies! That's just incredible! It must have had a massive profit margin.
I love these kinds of games, not sure how accurate they are but its usually a lot of fun for a little while.
Actually many recent studies have shown that exercising one's brain can increase your retainment of thinking capabilities as you grow older. It can even help to ward off diseases like Alzheimer's Disease. Any sort of mental exercise (chess, word puzzles, etc) has shown these effects.
i just approved this because nicole kidman is hot :P =] ahahahahah nice
While Nicole Kidman is obviously attractive, I never found her "HOT"
I saw this ad a while ago. She looks pretty freaking hot!
She may be attractive but i cant stand this advert because its soooooooo fake.
Jealous, apparently no one is buying Dr. Braithwaite's game.
