Gamesradar- To say that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a hugely missed opportunity is an equally huge understatement. In theory, it could have been a Resident Evil-themed, third-person Left 4 Dead, something that would make any zombie-shooter fan salivate with desire. Not only does Raccoon City not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Valve’s zombie-killing masterpiece, a number of poor design choices, narrative missteps, and technical issues combine to make this one of the worst Resident Evil games to date.
GF365: "Is Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City worth playing in 2023? This game originally received less than impressive reviews from critics and gamers alike. You may be wondering what this game is all about."
game was ridiculously dark when i played it bk then. not sure about now.
ike you couldnt see a damn thing ha
Now that Resident Evil 3 remake is less than a month away, here's a look back at the other times Capcom reimagined the 1999 classic game.
The Gamer's Ghost returns in this Late in the Game Review series to revisit Raccoon City. Did Slant Six Games' premier Resident Evil title hold up to the series' standards? Or was it rotten, like the very zombies spawned from Umbrella's dastardly research?
I actually thought this was a fun game. Was it great? No. But there were some very cool moments in the game.
Stand outs were taking on the Nemesis with a group and the Tyrant on the elevator.
One if the worst games I ever had the dishonor of playing I'm glad Capcom has rebounded to making quality games now even outside the RE series.
Well I've been on the fence for a while on this game, but my opinion usually lines up with what these guys say. They're my most trusted source. Things just got pretty bleak for me.
I`ll write a review off the gaming-site gamesradar: gamesradar is not a very good gaming-site: 2/10.
worst game of the year so far. wel done capcom and slant 6.
Terrible game. Very disapointing. Played it for 30min on saturday and I had enough. IGN rated it a 4.0 and I agree!
