New costumes, gems, patches and more coming to Street Fighter X Tekken

Hot on the heels of its March 6 release date, SFxT is about to kick off regular updates - meant to keep the experience fresh all through the year - with a blend of free and paid DLC. There's a whole bunch o' content coming,

Having a blast with this game but Im really looking forward to the day I can unlock the characters on the disc I already own.

Joking and sarcasm aside, I really do like this game. Other than the DLC debacle and audio dropout issue online that I'm sure will be fixed asap, this is a really great game. They did a great job implementing the Tekken cast of characters and their combos and strategies we have known for years still intact.

Granted, I'm pissed that these characters are locked but I love fighting games, I participate in tournaments, and I can guarantee that this will be money well spent for me.

Seriously, don't you have anything better to do? That is being a troll personified. How so? Because you have so much disdain for what they did that you took the time to do this and feel the need to post under articles about this very game. That is trolling.

I look forward to seeing your Activision, Epic, EA, Bioware, Ubisoft, etc and so on banners in the not too distant future since they all are milking the DLC train these days and have been for years.

Any DLC made side by side with the creation of the game not yet released is wrong. Devs and publishers have been getting away with this practically this whole generation.

Why all of a sudden the outrage against Capcom? It's not like they didn't do nearly the same thing with SSFIV and RE5. And where was the outrage for the COD Elite service? Oh yeah there were articles but they were few and far between and had more people defending them then attacking them for it.

The hypocrisy of gamers on the net, the media, devs, publishers and industry as whole is what makes me roll my eyes and laugh out loud at people such as yourself.

If you don't like it, that's your right. But we don't need to hear it under every single article pertaining to this title.

At the end of the day it is an exceptional game and it is being enjoyed by fight fans across the globe and will be the most played game at tournaments around the world.

Edit: Here is a tid bit of info for some to chew on and remind you I am not defending Capcom only pointing out nearly all devs and publishers are guilty of this.

Netherealm Studios charged $5 per DLC character w/ MK
Namco is charging $5 per character w/ SCV
Both are fighters and both have other various other DLC for fans that want to enhance their game.

Capcom is charging $20 for 12 characters.

Everyone is doing this and I'm not happy about ANY of it. I am merely pointing out that you guys that are under every Capcom article crying foul need to focus this animosity evenly towards all of them or you're flat out hypocrites.

Personally I find the media is the most to blame since a ton of them are targeting Capcom but don't have the balls to go after the major players with big advertising campaigns. They would never bite the hand that feeds them but will use Capcom as a way to entice more hits for them. Pathetic never ending cycle of hypocrisy.

Dude, you still have to pay for the remaining colors in the color editor. They're only giving away 12 colors, that leaves 44 more colors for people to purchase.

That's like buying a DVD and having all the extra features locked out including subtitles and Dolby Digital, and then a company enables subtitles but just the Spanish version but you still have to pay for the rest.

It's still BS but fanboys will eat it up because they have no backbone.

Dont care for paying colors , never did , never will , people just need to stop buying them . And how is that different from all of the genre force selling color , costumes and customization parts ?

My point is just what i said , we all - capcoms lovers , haters , apologists , fans , detractors - for good and bad reasons alike , expected far worse and to be forcefed chars sold by the unit or at best in duo for far more expensive .

As seen with ALL fighting games released on ps3-360 , except Tekken 6 and 5 DR .

$20 for the 12 characters isn't a bad price but forcing us to wait for the vita version for them to be unlocked is still taking the piss. Other DLC doesn't bother me but it's good to see they've gave a tentative release frame for the online sound bug fix.

One of the main reasons why so many people pounce on these Capcom articles is because of the fanbase. If you walk outside and go to any Jon Q. Public and ask what fighting games they are playing, 7 times out of 10 it's Street Fighter. This also means that they have the biggest influences in the fighting game genre on the whole. If Capcom is pressured to do an about face and starts churning complete games, other fighting game aficionados may play stubborn but a few months but have no choice to follow suit because that's how the chain of command works business wise.

You think if EA is pushed closed to the point where it might end up closing it doors that the game industry wouldn't change at all. If the answer is no then you are sorely mistaken.

Once the head of the snake is dead, the body soon follows.....
