FIFA Street Review (PlanetXbox360)

It’s been four years since the last FIFA Street game, and EA has decided to make their latest entry in the franchise a reboot. Instead of focusing on the crazy and zany, FIFA Street homes in on a cool stylish approach that sport games haven’t seen the like of since NBA Street. Tricks still play a major factor in the game, serving as both the cool looking and most efficient way to get around your opponents and scoring the sought after goal. But at the end of the day it’s not about how flashy you look or how many tricks you’ve memorized, the victor in a game of FIFA Street is always determined by your soccer prowess. On the technical side of things FIFA Street isn’t going to wow anyone with its visuals. Player’s don’t look outstanding and animations tend to be janky at best.

I miss the the PS2, GCN and Xbox days. I always preferred the arcade style sports games over the simulation entries. They were more entertaining for me to watch or play. There was a lot more variety back then as well. You had options. Now not so much.
