Siliconera: Germany-based NG:Dev.Team are still making Neo Geo and Dreamcast games. Their next title is Gun Lord, a “Eurostyle platformer,” and it’s out this month.
In part 2 of this continuing series, Aggro Sky of Gaming Rebellion examines the retro gaming homebrew scene and the passion behind it. The article looks primarily at the companies and games that are breathing new life into long dead consoles such as the Sega Genesis, NES and SNES. Because believe it or not, games are still being produced for these consoles, in physical form, on a regular basis.
The games are brought to life with over a dozen custom made animated GIFS showcasing gameplay and celebrating old school physical media. If you are a fan of retro games, you will certainly enjoy this trip into the 21st century of new games on old consoles.
"The Summer Dreams Block continues!
In today's episode, we take a look at the Dreamcast's only true 2D run-n-gunner, Gunlord. You want your Shmuproidvania? How about Shmuproidturrivania??! We got it right here!!"
