MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.
MW was an excellent videogame. They messed up Spec Ops big time, but aside from this it was a huge step in the right direction initially. Most notably, at launch it seemed to come from a very cohesive creative vision that was felt across gameplay, to story to art style/visual direction. It was also very notably written by prominent ex-Naughty Dog guys that quit almost immediately before release.
That COMPLETELY dissolved through post-launch content and the full pivot to a "cross-mode" narrative that completely obliterated the cohesion in overall story direction. Warzone then "became" the new face of Call of Duty and the franchise completely removed itself from anything remotely creatively "good". It is a pure money machine, so I kinda get why they're doing it....but I personally completely lost interest.
I would love to see Infinity Ward move off CoD and get to make their own product with full control. They clearly have some massive talent in their ranks but it's perverted by Activision's corporate interests.

My top 3 are Mario 3, Mario World and Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is also excellent, and I enjoyed Sunshine but didn't care for the Galaxy series.

i have a hard time agreeing with the best multiplayer game. I also dont think that COD4 is the best game of the year on the PS3. But all the others are ok imo.
Oh yeah and Halo3 wasnt the best game on the 360 this year.

I remembered that there was a lot of arguements / debate on N4G between xbox 360 and Sony fanboys.
Despite being a Sony fanboy, i was surprised when i heard about it. i thought it was too good to be true. I personnally think that Bungie did a good job on Halo 1 and 2. (dont know about Halo 3 as i never played it but i heard that it was a repetitive game)
I was wondering when Halo3 would start winning some GOTY. While I did really like the game, to me it is not GOTY.
Halo winning goty is a joke. Its a good game with great multiplayer, but wouldn't even be in my top 5 for this year. Bioshock, crysis, mario galaxy, uncharted, cod4, orange box and mass effect are all better games. The only reason it wins is b/c of the mass appeal of the franchise.
Best XB360 Game is Halo3? Wow. Thats emberassing for Gametrailers, Xbox got so much games that are much better then this screwed up Halo 3.
Mass Effect or Bioshock, okay bioshock is no exclusive title but call of duty is even no exclusive. When Halo 3 deserves a GOTY Title then all PS3 Exclusive too. o_O
